Torontos Kid Famous Interview!

The KiD Famous

By: Roxanne Blake

Swagg: What is the story of famous?

Famous: I was born in Montreal and moved to Toronto, I’m reppin Toronto right now.  My background is entertainment in general. Before becoming a rapper I was working behind the scenes.  I moved to Toronto because of an internship at Universal, and then I left Universal to intern at Sony BMG. I got into working in radio and to put it bluntly . . . ‘I Rap Now’.

Swagg: How would you describe your Swagg and your Music?

Famous: My Swagg is on Max. Famous has his own unique sound. Lyrically my flow is down to earth, some real ish. The presentation of my material is more of a character, it’s all about the Swagg and if I had to describe it, I quote “Kanye West meets Eminem with Fabulous’ stylist, the dedication of Ashton James and the mind frame of puffy in the 90’s”

Swagg: Where did you get the name famous?

Famous: The name famous was a name my boy gave to me when I first moved to Toronto from Montreal.  I was always traveling to different countries and meeting new people.  Whether I was partying with Puff or chilling in Atlanta with Jeezy, my boys would always call me and I’d tell them the story ‘you wouldn’t believe who I was chilling with yesterday?’ and they’d say “oh you famous now”.  Plus, with a name like famous it carries a lot of weight so it gives me something to live up to.

Swagg: What do you have out right now?

Famous: I have the “I Rap Now” Ep. available and the Clinton Sparks version. There are 5 tracks on there that paints a picture of the evolution of The Kid turned, Famous.  It’s for download on itunes and on www.irapnow.com.  I have the singles and music videos out for “I’m Here” and “Big Man Tings”.  Everything I put out is quality so look out.
